Dr. Naylin Oo
I’m a Libran, born in October—a sign known for its love of balance and harmony. I was also born on the “Dragon” day in the Myanmar zodiac and in the Year of the Dog in the Chinese zodiac. As a true Libran, my desire for balance can be both my strength and my weakness. I take pride in being fair-minded, a good listener, and a natural diplomat. I’m always seeking harmony in life—the classic yin and yang—which, ironically, can sometimes lead to inner chaos when even the smallest imbalance appears. Still, we Librans believe that with logic, analysis, and reason, we can carve out the perfect pathways through life.

Being born in the Year of the Dog, I naturally embody traits of loyalty, courage, and sincerity. I’m known for being straightforward, warm-hearted, quick-witted, and dependable. I value trust, know how to keep confidences, and often inspire others’ faith in me. According to the Chinese zodiac, these qualities make me well-suited for leadership and teamwork alike.
One of my fabourite quotes by Sydney J. Harris is “Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable.”
According to the Myanmar zodiac, I was born on the day of the Dragon, or “Naga,” which reflects a philosophical nature and a deep understanding of others. I’m naturally drawn to quiet confidence—something I value and take pride in. I tend to be sincere, reliable, and somewhat traditional, with a disciplined work ethic and high personal standards. I have a knack for turning abstract ideas into tangible outcomes. While I prefer independence and don’t like relying on others, I do wrestle with a high temper—not a short fuse, but a strong intensity. Admittedly, this trait doesn’t always sit well with the more balanced nature of a Libran or the loyal steadiness of a Dog.

So, I fit well to 忠, 勇, 真 (loyal, brave, true) representing dog, dragon, libra.

So, in essence, I would describe myself as a progressive, a social democrat, and a minimalist.
